Weekly Insights – aren’t we doing well?

All around the World

It is great to see that my new little blog is doing well in the early stages, with readers from various parts of the World. Places I have never been in person, but my words have now visited and my name is now known.

This means that I must be doing something right. I don’t have many followers [yet] but having a Facebook page has taught me that it’s the interactions which are the most important, not the number of “fans” necessarily.

I really do appreciate all the people who visit my blog. I hope that when you do visit, you find my content interesting and that you want to subscribe.

My main aim is to create a blog that I am comfortable with. In doing so, it should flow out happily into the blogosphere and gather momentum, bringing other bloggers back for more.

It’s important for me to build up a routine, and so I will be having some regular features on my blog. This also means that if I need to take a break from my blog I can schedule some posts in advance and then just keep up with comments, without worrying about creating new posts.

It is bound to happen that at sometime there will be some “real life interference” as I call it. Life is never straightforward, no matter how organised you think you are.

Thank you again to everyone who has been reading my blog. I hope to see you all again soon!

Marie-Céline

  1. [ Smiles ] It is nice to see that you have huge plans for your blog, Marie-Céline.

I wish you all the best with it and good luck with your Facebook page for your blog.

By the way, this comment was posted using my Android smartphone. I did it so I can get a feel for what you go through daily.

    1. Thank you Renard. What do you think of WordPress on the mobile? I think an edit button would be useful. I also made some errors in some of my comments yesterday and then had to make a second comment to correct the first.

Nice that you found my Facebook page as a way of getting in touch though. I set that up for my crafting and it is just a small part of who I am.

      Have a great day!

      1. [ Smiles ] Honestly, WordPress for mobile is okay. But, I will be sticking with my laptop. I am a perfectionist; therefore, I am not fond of errors.

I strongly agree that WordPress needs an edit button, Marie-Céline.

I wish you all the best with your Facebook page.

I also hope that you schedule your blog posts in the future; since it will allow you to have more time for yourself.

      2. My posts are already scheduled, and the desktop version is handy for that. You can schedule from the phone but it doesn’t show you what you have scheduled already.
I’m going to write a post about scheduling. It’s in my draft list at present. It does make it easier and free up time. Getting ahead is good, because if things get busy then you know that the blog is still covered.
I approve all comments as you know, as this is also a way of keeping control of the time spent on my blog, and making sure nothing gets missed.

      3. [ Smiles ] There is no need for you to rush, Marie-Céline.

Those blog posts are not running away. They will be there whenever you are ready to have a look at them.
