Sunday Coffee Share

Am I too late? Is the weekend over? No? Good … Let’s grab a quick coffee!

Sunday Coffee Share

I last did one of these before I went self-hosted, and I feel that sometimes I get too serious about the technical side of blogging. It’s good to just write a quick post on my phone.

So if we were having coffee and you took a close look at me, you might notice my hair is shorter. This is because I cut it myself. I just put it in a plait, then cut about four inches off – chop! It looks ok I think, feels much better and saved me money, but best of all, no small talk at the hairdresser’s.

We haven’t been out much, so not much to say on that score. The weather hasn’t been that great. We had Storm Gareth which seemed to last several days. It killed our fence at the back. Luckily we don’t own it, but the people who do aren’t in a hurry to fix it. We had better get used to open plan then.

Shall we look at some photos?

Our fence is dead

Managed to capture some wet sleety rain

If we were having coffee I would tell you that if I had the confidence I would record a proper talking to camera style vlog, or record a podcast. Maybe I would ask you for ideas about what I could talk about.

Some might say they can’t usually get a word in edgeways πŸ˜†

That’s all I have to say for now then. What’s your news this week? Drop me a comment below, I would love to know xx

  1. So brave of you to cut your own hair like that, I don’t think I could do it, I’d be so terrified I’d go wrong! Also the weather was terrible, I got caught out in the heavy downpour of hail stones and the crazy gush of wind… it wasn’t nice at all!

    1. I wouldn’t have cut my hair if it needed any kind of style. Thanks for commenting Chloe. Unfortunately your comments keep getting hidden in the spam πŸ™

      1. Not a huge lover of coffee but I’ll grab a hot chocolate. πŸ™‚ I loved reading the chatty style of this post Marie. Cutting your own hair is very brave and I remember my sister cutting her own hair when she was a teenager, it didn’t go well! My week has been fairly quiet to be honest.

      2. Thanks for your comment Kim. This has been a popular post 😁
Oh dear, did your sister need a hairdresser to sort out her mistake?

    1. Oh dear. Your fence too 😳 dog probably thought it was lots of fun though!
I wouldn’t have cut my hair if it needed a proper style 😁
      Thanks for commenting!

  2. Coffee? Let’s get one… I’d love one cappuccino, please. Hi Marie-Celine, I love this quick post. Sometimes, It’s nice to just take a break from the tech side of blogging.

So sorry about your fence. And, I hope you’ll have a nicer weather soon!

I hope to have lots of variety on my blog and these coffee share type posts help me stay grounded 😁
The sun does show itself occasionally, and we did have an early heatwave before the storm πŸ˜…

  3. Love these little snippets of life and occasional wisdom. My week has been boring to say the least, however building has now commenced at the Rachy household so my week has consisted of dust, dust and wait for it… dust.

  4. It was my birthday, so I am currently drinking coffee while doing the washing and sorting the dishes out. I do get to do it with a bit of cake though, so… Bonus? πŸ€”

      1. We looked at a few homes this week because we are trying to buy a new house. Next week we are starting to remodel our home so it will sell faster. I’m sorry about your fence!

      2. That’s exciting. I’m very experienced at moving house!!! It’s a pain about the fence but we don’t have to pay for a new one so it’s got a silver lining. Thanks for commenting.

      3. I absolutely love these snippets of life and occasional wisdom. For the most my week has been pretty dull.. although building work has finally commenced in the Rachy household, so that means dust, dust, and wait for it… dust!

      4. Thanks so much for commenting. I’m sorry you had to do it twice πŸ™„
I wonder how many other people have commented and it’s just disappeared into thin air?
Dust from building works gets everywhere doesn’t it? What are you having done?
