I primed a piece of waste cardboard with white gesso, then added texture using homemade paste and a stencil. I added colour with inktense & water and encouraged some run marks and dribbles.

Another piece of cardboard, primed with white gesso and then textured with paste through a stencil. The bright rainbow was created with Inktense blocks. I coloured first and then added water to blend.

Super fun ideas. Do you have a recipe for the homemade paste?

Hi and thanks for commenting. I make the paste by adding talcum powder and PVA glue to white paint or gesso. No specific quantity or ratio, just add it until it looks right.
