Autumn vibes and plans for October

Blogtober text with pumpkin and Autumn leaves

Autumn Vibes 💛🧡

It’s lovely to see that, hot on the heels of a glorious summer, Autumn isn’t wasting any time in getting here.

There’s a very different feel out of doors, and you can see Autumn arriving, as the carpet of leaves grows daily. I deliberately walked through some leaves to make them scrunch yesterday, just like a child … but why not? It was a moment of mindfulness, so I make no apologies.

I uploaded a YouTube recently of a walk with my Husband; it was very early Autumn, but the signs were there. It’s just a few minutes viewing so please do click here and watch.

Blogtober 🕰

I have recently joined up with a really friendly group of bloggers, some experienced and some new, and they’re all talking about Blogtober.

Blogtober is a challenge to blog every day for the month of October.

Now, because I have published a post every day since I started this blog, I thought I would do something different …

I have decided to publish once or twice a week, probably in the evening, and spend the rest of the time catching up with reading other blogs, getting to know other bloggers and leaving some truly meaningful comments.

I always try to leave a lovely comment for people anyway, and I’m generous with my likes, but I wanted to be totally absorbed in reading these special Blogtober posts. I know that my new blogging friends have put in a lot of effort and I’m looking forward to seeing their blogs full of Autumn goodness.

Craft Time ✂️

I’m hoping I can do a bit more crafting too. Lack of inspiration and hot sticky days meant that I didn’t make much at all. The cosy evenings should change that. I will share most of what I make on my Craft Owl Blog, but I will keep Make it Monday.

Snail Mail 📨

This is a project I want to expand over the coming months, so watch this space …

Please let me know what your plans are for October. You can leave me a comment below and don’t forget to subscribe to my blog to keep in touch.

Thank you for reading – come back soon!

I’ve never heard of Blogtober and was perplexed when I see most of the bloggers in my timeline talking about it lol. Too bad because I wanted to join one too if I knew about it earlier.

Thank you! It’s the best way I can think of joining in. I’m hoping that by posting less frequently I can be more reflective. It’s just good to try new things now and again isn’t it?

Thank you for visiting and for your comment.

  12. Love the idea of spending more time reading other blogs, I really need to do that too! I’m impressed that you usually blog every day, I’m going to really struggle doing it for a month. Determined to do it though!

Thanks. I don’t write lengthy posts, I have a backlog of photos, and I make the most of drafts and scheduling. I just feel like this month will be a good time to take a rest and read some things instead of writing. Already that feels quite odd though and I haven’t missed a day yet! It’s going to be hard for me not to write 😂

Thank you for visiting and for your comment
